Black Founders Exchange 2023 Oct. 8–13 @American Underground

Black Founders Exchange returns this year with a special focus on high-growth cybersecurity and AI startups. The week-long program provides business development content, networking opportunities, connections to experts and mentors, and a cash prize via a pitch competition.

Offered by the NC Small Business and Technology Development Center, Taking the Leap is a free, four-week cohort covering the ins and outs of starting a business, including identifying target markets, writing business plans, running finances and branding/marketing.

2023 Quality in the Triangle Conference Oct. 10, 7:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. @McKimmon Center

This conference will offer panels on talent and quality, a keynote from the Food and Drug Administration and other presentations covering new technologies, leadership tips and quality fundamentals.

Meet the Employer: First Citizens Bank Oct. 10, 9-9:30 a.m. (online)

Ahead of the NC TECH Job Expo on Oct. 11, NC TECH will host a webinar with representatives from First Citizens Bank’s IT team. Job seekers can learn about the bank’s growth and what recruiting teams are looking for.

Triangle Biotech Tuesday Oct. 10, 5:30 p.m. 

Triangle Biotech Tuesday is a monthly meetup that connects scientific professionals across the RTP/greater Triangle area. Join to network with professionals from different industries. The group meets on the second Tuesday of every month.

ALMA 2023 44th Annual Leadership Conference Oct. 10–12 @Friday Conference Center

This three-day conference will feature workshops, roundtables, presentations and other sessions tailored for managers of laboratories and scientists.

NC TECH’s Virtual Tech Job Expo Oct. 11, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. (online)

NC TECH’s Job Expo lets job seekers and employers connect live via chat and video. Employers will host virtual booths describing employee benefits/perks, vacancies and more. While the event mainly focuses on candidates seeking tech-related jobs and internships, many employers have openings in non-technical roles.

WIB-RTP: 2023 Career Fair for Women in Bio Oct. 11, 4-9 p.m. @NCBiotech

This career fair, hosted by Women In Bio’s RTP chapter, will feature over a dozen companies across biotech, pharmaceuticals and related industries.

Ultimate Marketing Toolkit: Market Research Mastery Oct. 11, 6:30-8 p.m. @Wake Forest Community Library

Part of a five-session seminar series, this event will offer tools and tips on using market research to unlock customer insights. Attendees will learn about competitor analysis, industry trends, audience targeting and other marketing strategies.
