This First-Of-Its-Kind Advent Calendar Might Be the Weirdest One We’ve Ever Seen
But, we absolutely need it.
The holiday season is already an exciting time for many of us—but give us a countdown calendar that’s filled with goodies, and you’ve just cranked the excitement up 10 notches.
Opening an advent calendar door is like receiving a gift every day throughout the month. And while there’s nothing quite like trying a different wine region or jam flavor thanks to your special calendar, what if we told you there’s a new advent calendar on the market that’s filled with truly practical products that get dinner on the table quickly?
You’d probably think we’re pulling your leg—but no, there’s a new frozen food advent calendar on the market, and it’s 100% real. Stouffer’s—the brand known for its heat-and-eat lasagna and mac and cheese meals—is releasing a unique advent calendar, the Comfort Calendar, that will make mealtime easier during the busy holidays.
Stouffer’s Comfort Calendar features seven frozen meals—meaning whether you need a full dinner or a quick side, you can get something on the table in no time for a week. The calendar includes Family Size Macaroni & Cheese, Family Size Lasagna with Meat & Sauce, Bowl-Fulls Chicken Bacon Ranch Bowl, Sides Broccoli Cheddar Pasta Bake, Sides Homestyle Mashed Potatoes, Pepperoni French Bread Pizza, and Ultimate Five Cheese Mac.
As with many advent calendars, design matters, and Stouffer’s certainly took that to heart. The Comfort Calendar is shaped like a gingerbread house and features some design Easter eggs inspired by the dishes inside. Look for the macaroni roof, chicken bacon ranch wreath, lasagna shutters, and French bread pizza toboggan on the box.
“STOUFFER’S first-ever advent calendar aims to help families combat scratch cooking fatigue by delivering no-fuss, great-tasting meal solutions everyone will love. Our limited-edition Comfort Calendar, turns everyday favorites—like Mac & Cheese and Lasagna—into festive must-haves,” says Nate Hill, Stouffer’s vice president of marketing.
The advent calendar will go on sale on October 2—so you’ll be stocked and ready before the busy season even begins—plus, there will be three subsequent drops on October 23, November 13, and December 4 in case you can’t get your hands on it earlier or want to save the meals for later in the year. The Comfort Calendar will be available on Stouffer’s site for $39.99 while supplies last.
