Walt Disney World announces return of after-hours events in 2024: ‘Calling all night owls!’
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Nighttime at Walt Disney World just got a lot more enchanting.
Walt Disney World announced Tuesday the return of after-hours events starting January 2024. Late-night experiences kick off Jan. 10 at Hollywood Studios, Jan. 11 at Magic Kingdom and Feb. 2 at EPCOT.
“Think of the happiest things you can do during your Walt Disney World visit,” Disney Parks wrote in a blog. “I bet extra time in the parks after closing would be at the top of your list… when you can explore one of our theme parks like never before – with lower wait times for attractions. That’s what you’ll get at Disney After Hours events!”
What is Disney After Hours?
These separately-ticketed after-hours events give guests an additional three hours after the park closes to go on rides with shorter wait times, meet characters and chow down on unlimited, free snacks.
“Disney After Hours events allow a limited number of guests to enjoy Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT after they officially close for the day, offering shorter wait times to select attractions and character experiences,” Disney Parks said. “To cure your late-night cravings, you can indulge in ice cream novelties, popcorn and select beverages at a variety of locations throughout the park each event night – all included in the cost of the ticket.”
For Magic Kingdom guests, the “Enchantment” fireworks show will return exclusively for Disney After Hours events.
