Education PS Belio Kipsang Announces Schools to Reopen on January 8
Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang on Thursday revealed that schools countrywide will be reopened on January 8, 2024.
Speaking during the release of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results, Kipsang stated that this will mark the first time that learners are going to study for 3 consecutive terms with three breaks in between.
“We are opening our schools on the 8th of January for the new year,” stated PS Kipsang.
“I would like to thank the teachers for the work you have put in. There were times you were running 4 terms in a calendar year. Last year, we did so many examinations in the same year, we say thank you for your good work,” the PS added.
This marks the first time the school calendar system is reverting back to normal following the Coronavirus disruption.
