Kanawha County Board of Education approves 2024-25 school calendar
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — Kanawha County education leaders approved a calendar for the 2024-25 school year on Monday.
The Kanawha County Board of Education said it approved Option 1 for the 2024-25 school year as it was closest to the school year’s calendar. The vote was 5-0.
Under the approved calendar, the school year will start on Aug. 16, 2024. The calendar also includes a week for Thanksgiving break (Nov. 25-29) and Spring Break (March 24-28). The winter holiday break will be from Dec. 23, 2024, Jan. 3, 2025.
The last day for students is May 30.
